We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Imagix Vinings in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for care.
- Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
- Deliver instruments and materials to treatment areas, and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
- Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Completion of Dental Assisting Program preferred
- EFDA certification, preferred
- X-ray license for the state of GA, required
