Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our Child Adolescent Unit at Sheppard Pratt. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of adolescent patients to identify treatment needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and discharge planning services.
  • Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physicians and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
  • Document and report patient progress to treatment teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland.
  • AHA-approved Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
  • Associate degree in nursing or higher.
  • Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
