Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning: Develop and implement regular and modified menus that meet Chartwells K-12 guidelines and standards.
- Staff Training: Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of food and non-food supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while adhering to established guidelines.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Culinary Education: A degree in Culinary Arts is highly preferred.
- Experience: Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in leading production for multiple units.
- Skillset: Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Technical Skills: Experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet.
