Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and diagnostic x-rays at two off-campus locations, as well as rotating to our main campus.

Responsibilities
  • Select and adjust technical factors for studies to ensure accurate and high-quality images
  • Operate and maintain CT scanners, pressure injectors, and other related equipment
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, ensuring modesty and safety
  • Document patient information, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields in our electronic medical record system
  • Obtain high-quality images and ensure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation
  • Stay up-to-date with software protocols and changes in the field through ongoing education and training
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and radiologists to ensure seamless care
  • Check equipment, maintain cleanliness, and restock supplies to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment
  • Be available for on-call and call-back responsibilities to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
  • Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited institution
  • Current ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
