Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Generator Technician to join our team at the Generac Dealer Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing on-site and phone troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installation, and support for Generac Industrial products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, including Generac Industrial products.
  • Equipment Installation and Modification: Install and modify Generac Industrial equipment to meet customer specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams on Generac Industrial products.
  • Travel and On-Site Work: Travel to customer sites to perform on-site work, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation of Generac Industrial products.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6-10+ years of experience in servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams. Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, and Spark Ignited knowledge.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend, and reach above shoulders. Frequently required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
