Job Overview

Force America Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in Huntley, IL. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the costs, materials, labor, and time required for company processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of assigned projects.
  • Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for products and services.
  • Create labor estimates for assigned projects.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with company vendors, contractors, and internal team members.
  • Review and prepare bid data for projects.
  • Present prepared estimates to leaders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or proven job experience in a related role.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication and weld processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents (such as blueprints).
  • Effective writing skills; ability to develop and write reports.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and math skills to interpret and analyze numerical data effectively.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proven self-starter with strong initiative and drive to achieve results autonomously.
  • Detail-oriented with an appreciation for deadlines and time management.
  • Enthusiastic attitude with good listening skills.
