About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educator of Speech and Language to join our team at Portland Public Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language disorders and promoting academic success and social-emotional well-being.

Job Duties
  • Assess students' communication skills and develop individualized education programs;
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to support students with speech and language disorders;
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery;
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion;
  • Maintain accurate records and meet state and federal reporting requirements;
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development;
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or license issued by the Oregon State Board of Speech-Language Pathology is required at time of employment;
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is required within the first year of employment;
  • Bilingual/Bi-Cultural applicants are highly desirable;
  • Valid Class C Oregon driver's license is required for some positions;
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $69,213 - $103,417 annually, based on 1.0 FTE, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
