About the Role

Florida Crystals is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the maintenance operations, with a focus on mechanical maintenance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Operations: Direct and coordinate the maintenance operations to ensure maximum equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness throughout the facility.
  • Maintenance Planning: Review, approve, and schedule maintenance work orders, and provide resources and inspect work in progress and after completion for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise maintenance personnel to achieve continuous operation, manage personnel to maximize efficiency of repairs, and develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Interface with outside vendors for equipment and parts purchases, collect technical data on equipment, and submit proposals for new equipment or part purchases.
  • Cost Management: Review costs and take action to eliminate or minimize unnecessary spending, including consumption of supplies and machine parts.
  • Project Management: Supervise special maintenance/engineering projects and ensure the highest level of workmanship, and assist in the preparation and completion of technical and non-technical documents.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five plus years of related experience, with three years of maintenance supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Skills: Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical knowledge, computer literacy, and experience with SAP or similar inventory and PM program.
