Position Summary
The Agents Companies is in search of a meticulous and driven Receivables Processing Specialist with 1-2 years of relevant experience to enhance our finance department. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing and executing incoming payment transactions, maintaining accurate financial documentation, and ensuring timely payment of customer invoices. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals aiming to initiate or advance their career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately apply customer payments to the respective accounts promptly.
- Maintain and update daily totals in the spreadsheet.
- Provide exceptional customer service for incoming inquiries regarding payments and account questions.
- Review account modifications and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Dispatch collection emails to clients in accordance with established collection protocols and update weekly collection notes and reports.
- Effectively communicate and follow up on all matters, ensuring that all interactions are recorded.
- This list is not exhaustive; employees may undertake additional related tasks as required.
Time Allocation for Responsibilities
1. Processing payments and handling phone inquiries
2. Sending and addressing collection emails
3. Mailing statements and collection letters
4. Updating reports and sending Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and lien waivers
5. Conducting collection phone calls and various administrative duties
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years in accounts receivable, accounting, or a similar field.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and precision in data entry.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external clients.
- Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Expected Work Hours: 40 hours per week
