Developmental Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Developmental Paraprofessional to join our team at Positive Development. As a key member of our care team, you will work one-on-one with children and young adults with autism, providing play-based care and support in their homes.
As a Developmental Paraprofessional, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families. You will work closely with our clinical team to develop personalized plans for each client, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one play-based care and support to children and young adults with autism
- Develop and implement personalized plans for each client, in collaboration with our clinical team
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care and support
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
- Experience working with children and individuals with autism an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or state ID
