We are in search of a proficient Senior Technical Project Manager (Cloud/Data Migrations/EDW) to enhance our operations.

The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience as outlined below:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, adept at managing risks associated with complex project leadership.
  • More than 5 years of experience leading diverse technical teams, potentially across various locations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cloud technologies, enterprise data warehouse principles, data integration workflows, and reporting mechanisms.

Project Expertise

  • Prior involvement in EDW, Data Warehouse Migration, or Data Integration initiatives.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and associated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project and program management expertise across various initiatives.
  • Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to gather project requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans detailing tasks by project phases.
  • Oversee the entire team's tasks (vendors, clients, staff) to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Monitor and manage the budget, ensuring adherence to project estimates.
  • Implement escalation procedures for issues affecting overall project health, including risks and budget concerns.
  • Prepare weekly status reports outlining current tasks, upcoming tasks, issues, risks, budget status, and milestone dates.
  • Identify, track, and manage project issues and risks, escalating them to the appropriate leadership.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings with team members and clients to provide updates on project progress, issues, risks, and milestones.
  • Ensure teams have access to technical clarifications and maintain focus during meetings.
  • Enhance operational efficiencies within the development team to maximize deliverables in each iteration.
  • Address and resolve impediments and blocking issues for the team.
  • Implement processes, practices, and tools that support multiple delivery paths, creating efficient and flexible methodologies.
  • Propose improvements and foster alignment across IT teams within the same business line.

Project Management / Scrum Competencies:

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP).
  • Understanding of iterative and incremental development fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of various Agile approaches, including Kanban, Crystal, FDD, XP, etc.
  • Basic understanding of software development processes to meet team needs.
  • Expertise in estimation and planning, capable of creating reliable and practical plans for software development projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Ability to commit to project timelines while analyzing, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Experience in matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in sprint planning and agile development practices.
  • Understanding the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge of tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
  • Familiarity with common development practices.

Additional Skills:

  • Previous consulting experience or conducting presentations at the C-level.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and passion for Scrum and project management.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management skills.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Prior experience in external client service, consulting, or contracting.
  • PMP, CSM certification, and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
