Position Overview

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 based on experience

Join our dynamic team at MAS Building & Bridge, Inc. as a Senior Preconstruction Manager in the Heavy-Civil construction sector. This role is pivotal in leading the preconstruction phase within our estimating and management teams, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in bid review and project closeout discussions.
  2. Develop comprehensive Handoff Plans, gather necessary information, and coordinate meetings effectively.
  3. Facilitate the transition to Operations.
  4. Engage in pre-construction meetings and conduct site visits with Project Teams and Owners.
  5. Collaborate with Project Managers to create Baseline Schedules.
  6. Serve as a resource for the Project Team regarding budget details and coordinate with Estimators.
  7. Contribute to brainstorming sessions, value engineering, and exploring alternative construction methods.
  8. Assist with early project submittals and action items during job initiation.
  9. Lead the procurement process, maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers while managing subcontract administration.
  10. Support the acquisition of insurance policies and the submission of permit applications.
  11. Attend monthly project meetings and provide feedback to the Estimating Team on lessons learned and operational insights.
  12. Facilitate the Estimating Team's involvement with Change Orders.
  13. Support the Estimating Team during bid preparations and attend relevant meetings as time permits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in Project Management and/or Estimating.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
