Job Summary:

Encantado Technical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator III to perform task-based and project-based work. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Work directly with Red Hat Satellite to manage and maintain our Linux infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams, to ensure seamless integration and communication.
  • Partner with vendors to resolve complex hardware and software issues.
  • Document all work performed, including ticketing system entries and SharePoint updates.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in CS or IT related field and two (2) years of IT experience, or an additional 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Linux Server System Administration and UNIX experience at least 2 years.
  • RHEL system administration experience.
  • Familiarity with computer network protocols and network management technologies.
  • Ability to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
  • US Citizen and on-site.
  • Must have an active DOE Q Clearance Minimum to start or DoD Top Secret with reciprocity.

Desired:

  • Prior working experience with Department of Energy or Department of Defense infrastructure.
  • RHEL Satellite administration experience.
  • STIGS implementation experience.
  • Automation platforms such as Ansible, VmWare, Python at least 1-3 years.
  • Experience leading and implementing large technical solutions.
  • RHCE/CCNA.
  • Experience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processes.
  • Experience with container technology, such as Kubernetes, RKE, Docker, etc.
  • Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experience.
  • ESXI experience.
