We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator III to join our team at Edgewater Federal Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, with experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Unix/Linux systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Work directly with RedHat Satellite and various methods to record work done (ticketing system, SharePoint, etc.).
Partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.
Work directly with vendors to solve complex hardware and software issues.
Requirements:
BS/BA in CS or IT related field and two (2) years of IT experience.
In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of experience is applicable.
U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
Must have an active DOE Q Clearance Minimum to start or DoD Top Secret with reciprocity.
Must live in the Albuquerque area and work onsite due to the nature of the work.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior working experience with Department of Energy or Department of Defense infrastructure.
RHEL Satellite administration experience.
STIGS implementation experience.
Automation platforms such as Ansible, VmWare, Python at least 1-3 years.
Experience leading and implementing large technical solutions.
RHCE/CCNA.
Experience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processes.
Experience with container technology, such as Kubernetes, RKE, Docker, etc.
Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experience.
ESXI experience.
