Role Description:
As a key member of the team, you will be engaged in addressing some of the most intricate technical challenges. The focus will be on the Afloat Submarine C4I IPT Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) Multi-purpose Reconfigurable Training System (MRTS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer expertise in alignment with Department of Navy (DoN) and Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise initiatives, including:
    • Ready Relevant Learning (RRL)
    • Integrated Learning Environment (ILE)
    • Navy Knowledge Online (NKO)
    • Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Provide functional and technical support across various DoN and DoD Business IT systems, such as:
    • Human Analysis Requirements Planning System (HARPS)
    • Trainer Enhancement Change Request (TECR) database
    • Common Problem Reporting System (CPRS) database
  • Deliver C4I training solutions to ensure warfighters are equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to operate and maintain C4I equipment.
  • Engage in research, design, and development of CSRR MRTS trainers for the US Navy Submarine Force.
  • Develop and maintain formal curriculum and training materials for C4I CSRR in accordance with Naval Education Training (NAVEDTRA) standards.
  • Assess the impact of CSRR MRTS Problem Reports (PR) and TECRs, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Conduct training sessions for the US Navy Submarine Force on C4I systems.
  • Facilitate Validation/Verification (Val/Ver) of operational and maintenance scenarios.
  • Represent the technical aspects at various training systems meetings.
  • Maintain programmatic documentation including Military Characteristics (MC), Training System Support Documentation (TSSD), and System Interface Manuals (SIM).
  • Produce Graphic Design Documents (GDD), Storyboards, and Software Design Documents (SDD).
  • Deliver training courses using appropriate formats and authoring tools.
  • Assist in developing Quick Reference Guides (QRG) for C4I equipment.
  • Provide operator and maintenance training in line with the approved training schedule.
  • Conduct Business Case Analysis (BCA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) related to training development.
  • Support New Equipment Training (NET) setup and instruction.
  • Design training mock-ups and conduct integrated training strategy planning.
  • Perform training audits and interim training sessions as necessary.
  • Develop technical documentation for C4I systems training.
  • Utilize the ADDIE Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Model for curriculum lifecycle management.
  • Establish training objectives and plans in accordance with Naval Education and Training guidelines.
  • Document critical tasks for C4I systems operators and maintainers.
  • Confirm calibration and maintenance procedures for training systems.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Possession of a Training Certification.
  • Ten (10) years of professional training experience with a Master's or fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor's degree, including:
    • Identifying training needs
    • Setting goals and objectives
    • Creating training programs
    • Applying instructional systems development (ISD) processes
  • Specific experience in DoD C4I Instructional Design.
  • Secret Clearance required.
