Position Overview

The role of the Unarmed Security Project Manager is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of capital buildings. Candidates must fulfill the following essential criteria:

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a citizen of the United States, either by birth or through naturalization.
  2. Hold a valid high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  3. Successfully pass a medical and physical standards evaluation.
  4. Demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
  5. Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
  6. Possess a valid, unrestricted state driver's license (vision correction devices are permitted).
  7. Meet one of the following experience criteria:
    • Two years of service in the United States Armed Forces (including Reserve or National Guard);
    • A combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) along with service in the United States Armed Forces;
    • An Associate's Degree in a security or law enforcement discipline;
    • Successful completion of a basic training academy for police officers.
