About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Psychiatrist to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in serious mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote support to our 12 EDs, working from home and visiting specific sites as needed.
  • Conduct daily touch-base meetings to review and prioritize patient needs.
  • Participate in weekly peer consults to ensure seamless collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
  • Work closely with Mental Health Crisis Clinicians, ED providers, nursing staff, and other clinical team members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule with the option to work 8s or 10s, with no on-call expectation.
  • Required to work one weekend per month (Sat/Sun).

Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Board Eligibility/Board Certification with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
