Your Role with Leidos QTC Health Services

As an Audiologist, you will apply the principles of hearing science to formulate an Independent Medical Opinion (IMO) and/or independent medical exam for a unique claimant population of past and present military service members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and interpret various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, including air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests.
  • Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews to determine the likely cause of hearing loss and to state the prognosis.
  • Operate computerized programs and utilize application software and databases to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.
  • Conduct otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.
  • Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required.
  • Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).
Requirements
  • Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au. D) from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 years of clinic practice experience.
  • Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shall be unrestricted.
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certification.
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government Clearances (LARS/Public Trust Clearance, etc.).
