Your Responsibilities:
As a key player in our procurement team, you will be responsible for acquiring materials, supplies, equipment, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Your purchases may be intended for company use, for the fabrication of parts, or for resale to our customers.
You will review all procurement requests, solicit and assess potential suppliers, negotiate terms, execute and manage purchase agreements, and develop procurement strategies.
You will establish purchasing procedures for each new client.Your goal will be to procure materials and services of specified quality, in the correct quantity, at the most competitive cost, from qualified suppliers, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.
You will place orders through various communication methods and resolve any discrepancies related to quantity, quality, pricing, and transportation with vendors and internal departments.Monitoring timely aircraft re-delivery will be essential.
To achieve high inventory turnover, you will work to minimize excess storage, carrying costs, and inventory losses due to deterioration and obsolescence.
You will ensure continuity of supply to prevent production delays and maintain the quality of materials purchased to deliver exceptional products to our customers.Developing reliable alternative sources of supply will be crucial to promote competition in service performance and pricing.
Your focus will be on minimizing acquisition costs by enhancing operational efficiency and procedures.
Maintaining organized and accurate records for the purchasing department will be necessary to provide an audit trail and ensure efficiency and integrity.
You will also explore effective new products that may enhance productivity and reduce costs, coordinating in-house product testing and analyzing results.Collaboration with users and management will be essential to implement product changes.
Qualifications:
What You Need:
A preferred background of 2 years of academic studies at the college level, ideally in Marketing, Business, or Communication, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-3 years of experience in Industrial Purchasing of raw materials and/or 3-5 years in Aviation/Military-related procurement, including aircraft tooling.
