Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals following prescribed recipes and portion controls to meet the nutritional needs of patients and staff.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor food quality and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health department regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of food inventory and communicate with the procurement team to ensure adequate supplies.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent culinary services.
- Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a culinary specialist in a healthcare or institutional setting is preferred.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Education and Certification:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Culinary Degree: Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
