Nursing Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team at Paradise Creek Health and Rehabilitation. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist CNAs in their daily duties, including providing personal care and support to residents.
  • Answer the nurse call system to determine resident needs and respond accordingly.
  • Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
  • Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
  • Assist residents with range of motion exercises, movement to wheelchair or activity areas, and turning and positioning in bed.
  • Document services provided and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist residents with ambulation for short distances within the facility.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and facility staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy in all interactions.
  • Within 120 days of employment, complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and become certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
