We are seeking a highly skilled Import Compliance Business Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our import processes are compliant with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade Compliance: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of our Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program, ensuring that all trade compliance regulations are met.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Continuously monitor trade compliance regulations and updates, ensuring that our business processes and procedures are aligned with the latest requirements.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits of high-risk trade programs and SKUs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze business processes and procedures to identify potential risks and make recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Conduct research and compile data into spreadsheets for reporting, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare for and attend meetings with international transportation providers, ensuring that our needs are met and that our cargo is delivered on time.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate any issues that arise to the necessary parties, ensuring that they are addressed promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Thoroughness: Demonstrate thoroughness in accomplishing tasks, considering all areas involved.
  • Accuracy: Monitor and check work for accuracy before submitting it.
  • Time Management: Organize time and resources efficiently, meeting deadlines through goal setting.
