Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Community Manager in achieving optimal occupancy rates within the affordable housing sector.
  • Assist in the leasing process to meet or exceed occupancy targets, including conducting property tours and managing the waiting list.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Gather necessary documentation and secure signatures for resident move-ins.
  • Prepare comprehensive move-in packages for new residents.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications as required.
  • Conduct property tours, interviews, and respond to inquiries via mail and phone.
  • Complete all necessary move-in documentation, including leases and addendums, in line with established procedures.
  • Review and address resident notices to vacate, providing guidance on responsibilities.
  • Process rent payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate resident account records.
  • Adhere to company policies and promote compliance with Fair Housing Laws and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate resident records and assist in the upkeep of the community's physical appearance.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with residents and team members.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a diverse population.
  • Proficient in customer service and sales techniques.
  • Effective verbal communication abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Working Conditions

This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure. The noise level is generally low to moderate.
