Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions pertinent to the Property and Casualty Insurance sector.
- Generate and evaluate detailed financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance processes and financial outcomes.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance within the organization.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Mentor junior accounting personnel, promoting a culture of development and knowledge sharing.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential; a Master's Degree or CPA designation is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in Insurance Accounting, particularly in Property and Casualty Insurance.
- In-depth understanding of insurance accounting standards and regulations.
- Expertise in financial reporting and account reconciliation.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial information and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with all organizational levels.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
