Job Summary:

CoreCivic is seeking a skilled Vocational Instructor to provide high-quality education and training to students in a secure, institutional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum standards and instructional materials for vocational and occupational subjects.
  • Plan and deliver instruction using a variety of teaching methods and materials, including handouts, texts, and audiovisual aids.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide progress reports as required.
  • Assist students with additional instruction and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Vocational Training, or related field.
  • Three years of full-time, wage-earning experience in the subject vocational trade or in career readiness skills.
  • Must possess or be eligible for certification and/or license, or other credentials required by contract and/or state of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software as needed.
