Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and physically capable Ski Operations Manager to join our team at Pro-Fit Ski & Mountain. In this role, you will oversee all operational aspects and programming of our facility. The Ski Operations Manager is responsible for fostering a fun, safe, and organized atmosphere for our clients. You will also be tasked with hiring, managing, and training staff, crafting marketing strategies, and ensuring the seamless operation of the facility.
No prior ski instruction experience is required, but candidates must be at least intermediate alpine skiers and willing to pursue ski instructor certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome clients and provide an introduction to the facility
Manage lesson scheduling
Oversee point of sale operations
Address inquiries related to lessons
Coordinate and communicate with staff and lead team meetings
Develop and execute marketing initiatives
Create and manage schedules
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the facility
Adhere to all health and safety protocols
Engage in industry events and maintain active participation in relevant professional organizations
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a manager or assistant manager is preferred but not mandatory
Must be at least an intermediate alpine skier
Strong communication and organizational skills
Exceptional customer service abilities
Able to work independently, solve problems, and think creatively
Commitment to following health and safety guidelines to ensure student safety
Positive and supportive demeanor
Able to remain on your feet and operate the ski simulator for extended periods, with some heavy lifting involved
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
