PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The Loan Processor III plays a critical role in evaluating necessary documentation and ensuring the completeness and precision of submitted loan packages. This position collaborates closely with Loan Officers, Loan Assistants, Audit, and Operations, along with various departments within Capital Community Bank. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective time management, are essential for success in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation and examination of all loan documentation related to loans and collateral.
  • Verify the credit reports of Borrowers and Guarantors.
  • Review collateral, including:
    • Confirming real estate appraisals to ensure the correct address aligns with other real estate documents.
    • Assessing Title Commitments for accuracy regarding address, ownership, outstanding taxes, and lien positions.
    • Evaluating flood determinations to ensure properties are not located in flood zones.
    • Conducting UCC Pre-Searches for correct spelling and punctuation.
    • Verifying Vehicle Titles to confirm ownership and the absence of other liens.
    • Ensuring all other collateral meets the bank's established policies.
  • Pre- and post-closing activities:
    • Reviewing the presentation and loan documentation checklist.
    • Documenting loan information in LaserPro with the required documents.
    • Checking loan documents for accuracy before forwarding them to the loan assistant and loan officer for final review.
    • Completing all necessary fields in Horizon, including collateral details.
    • Filing UCC in the appropriate jurisdiction.
    • Processing wire transfers.
    • Renewing and/or terminating UCCs as applicable.
  • Reporting and Tickler items:
    • Entering Tickler items for loan and collateral matters.
  • Reviewing unposted transactions daily to verify fund allocations and making necessary corrections.
  • Exhibiting effective and professional communication skills. Engaging with Loan Officers, Loan Assistants, and Bank Operations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality with all acquired information.
  • Participating actively in training programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Representing Capital Community Bank positively to foster relationships with customers, prospects, and colleagues.
  • Collaborating as a team member to coordinate workflow.
  • Contributing to departmental and organizational objectives and goals.
  • Adhering to all bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Meeting expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Compliance Responsibilities: Assisting in the bank's adherence to all relevant federal and state laws and regulations.

  • Gaining familiarity with applicable federal and state banking regulations concerning lending.
  • Complying with all bank policies and procedures.
  • Cooperating with banking regulators and auditors.

Interpersonal and Team Skills: Cultivating and maintaining a professional image and rapport with customers, the public, colleagues, regulators, auditors, and bank management.

  • Exhibiting a positive attitude and the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Keeping relevant parties informed about project status and issues.
  • Negotiating and resolving conflicts related to projects or assignments; communicating issues to management as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Skills/Experience:
    • A willingness to learn and a fundamental curiosity about loan documentation and portfolio management.
    • Experience with banking loan and deposit systems is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Capability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cohesive team.
  • Ability to meet bonding requirements for employment purposes.
