As a Heavy Truck Mechanic at Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy trucks. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy trucks, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and engine problems.
- Use diagnostic equipment to research and complete repairs, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Partner with the service manager to learn new skills and stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 2 years' experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
- 2 years' MIG and stick welding experience.

- 2 years' diesel engine repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver's license and ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
- Ability to lift and move more than 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening.
- Must have own tools.
