Key Responsibilities

The Occupational Health and Safety Professional is a critical role within the organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations. This involves enforcing Rotork's Health & Safety policies and procedures across the facility to maintain a safe working environment.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Objectives
  • Maintain effective communication with the Group Health, Safety, and Environment Officer, reporting on safety violations and poor practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and regulatory changes, adapting policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Conduct thorough incident/injury investigations, analyzing root causes of health and safety issues.
  • Manage and update safety charts and reports as necessary.
  • Deliver safety training seminars to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Lead the facility's Health and Safety committee, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including training, agreements, and facilities safety requirements.
  • Implement and manage the safety shoe and eye glass program.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs, guaranteeing compliance with regulations.
  • Pursue innovative ways to minimize Rotork's environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain MSDS, COSSH, and risk analysis databases, and conduct risk assessments when required.
