About the Role

We are seeking an experienced High Performance FPGA Architect to join our world-class team at Annapolis Micro Systems, Inc.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and computer engineering fundamentals, as well as experience in designing complex products with knowledge of processor and FPGA functionality and design practices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance FPGA-based products that meet the demands of our clients in the defense, aerospace, and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance FPGA-based products for various form factors, including 3U/6U VPX and PCIe.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency across products within a given product line.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry technology and trends, applying new concepts to enhance existing products.
  • Guide products from conception to production, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop prototype plans, perform design validation, and operate in a team environment to develop COTS solutions designed with end-users in mind.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in board or product design, preferably in high-performance FPGA-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and computer engineering fundamentals, including digital circuit design and analog circuit design principles.
  • Ability to understand and design complex products with knowledge of processor and FPGA functionality and design practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
