Job Summary
The Research Scientist will be responsible for conducting research on HIV-associated atherosclerosis projects and utilizing the universal cell ablation model for the study of cellular functionality in the pathogenesis of human diseases, such as multiple sclerosis. The successful candidate will maintain a lab journal, present research results to the research group, and generate data to support the research objectives of the lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on HIV-associated atherosclerosis projects and utilize the universal cell ablation model for the study of cellular functionality in the pathogenesis of human diseases
- Maintain a lab journal and present research results to the research group
- Generate data to support the research objectives of the lab
- Supervise and train other research laboratory staff
- Develop and implement new techniques
- Communicate study results effectively
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in a Biological Science
- Five years of research experience in a relevant field or area of study
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in an academic environment
- More than 5 years' professional research work experience
