Cardiovascular and Renal Disease Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular and Renal Disease Specialist to join our team at Wright State University. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in cardiovascular or renal pathophysiology, including immunology/inflammation of cardio-renal diseases.
About the PositionThis position will fill critical research and teaching/mentoring needs in the Boonshoft School of Medicine within the Department of Neuroscience, Cell Biology, and Physiology. The incumbent is expected to establish or maintain/expand an active extramurally funded research program.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an active research program focused on cardiovascular or renal disease
- Mentor undergraduate, graduate, and medical students in the laboratory
- Teach small group problem-based learning sessions to medical students
- PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in biomedical sciences
- A strong record of academic accomplishments in the cardiovascular, renal, and/or immunology/inflammatory disease disciplines
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring graduate and/or undergraduate students in the laboratory
- Experience in teaching small group problem-based learning sessions to medical students
- Current holder of multi-year federal research award
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
