About the Role

We are a rapidly growing financial services and insurance company seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant with LIFE insurance experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, financial reports, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Perform monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory & US GAAP financial statements, including coordination of footnote disclosures with various departments.
  • Help with addressing external & internal auditor requests.
  • Maintain key performance indicators and financial reporting information, specifically for management & utilization in quarterly board reporting presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive procedures at a detailed level, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Understand the flow of information, financial systems, appropriate reporting tools, and leverages that knowledge to troubleshoot issues.
Requirements
  • MUST have Life insurance accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of experience + Bachelor's degree in accounting - Master's or CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in life insurance accounting (GAAP & STAT basis).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related systems, including but not limited to EAS, Oracle, Wings, etc.
