Paint Line Operator

We are seeking a skilled Paint Line Operator to join our team at Steffes. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for applying paint products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Apply powder paint products in accordance with customer and QMS specifications/requirements.
- Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
- Operate paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools.
- Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
- Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
- Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product or equipment.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Help the company meet its Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and display a positive attitude and behavior consistent with the Steffes Code of Conduct and Core Values.
QualityActively support and participate in Quality Improvement.
- Take immediate action in unsafe situations.
- Adhere to all safety standards; thus, promoting safe practices to ensure a safe environment.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of prior work experience in a related field.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.).
- Familiarity with HVLP and/or electrostatic guns, pressure pots, and proportioners is a plus.
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills.
An acceptable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Physical DemandsThis position requires:
- Walking and standing to a significant degree.
- Working in tight spaces with areas less than 30 possible.
- Lifting 70 pounds from floor to waist, carrying 50 pounds, and pushing and/or pulling up to 100 pounds.
- Climbing ladders and/or stairs.
- Certain products may require laying on the floor in order to paint correctly.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for most activities.
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work before and after completion.
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
