Matrix Providers is seeking a Hearing Specialist to become a member of our skilled medical team to perform a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam.
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Salary: This is a salaried role, compensated bi-weekly.
- Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Qualifications: The Hearing Specialist must fulfill the following criteria.
- Possess an active and unrestricted Audiologist license.
- Hold a master's or doctorate from a program accredited by CAA, ACAE, or ASHA certification.
- Certification: Maintain an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a readiness to adapt to evolving circumstances.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- All on-site personnel must be fully vaccinated in accordance with CDC and state guidelines.
- Prior experience with VA or compensation exams is advantageous but not mandatory.
Position Summary:
- Evaluate relevant medical history and conduct one-time, non-treatment audiology compensation and pension assessments for Veterans.
- The audiologist will document responses during the assessment using a web-based examination form; all records will be completed electronically. Finalized assessments are submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award evaluations.
- Conduct a comprehensive auditory examination to evaluate hearing loss or tinnitus.
- Standard testing procedures include Pure Tone Air and Bone, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and speech recognition assessments.
- All necessary equipment for performing duties will be provided on-site, including specialized soundproof booths.
