About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced language professionals to join our team at Pearson Education Services as World Language Scorers. As a World Language Scorer, you will play a critical role in evaluating responses from teacher candidates in multiple states, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our assessment programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate responses from teacher candidates in multiple states, applying our scoring guide and rubric requirements.
  • Successfully internalize training and scoring guide, participating in discussions and consensus scoring activities.
  • Apply scoring guide according to rubric requirements, putting aside personal biases and maintaining a confidential work environment.
  • Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program.
Working Conditions

Training takes place before scoring begins, and there may be a brief orientation meeting before the day of scoring occurs. Scoring sessions are typically one day long and take place during the week, Monday through Friday. Scoring sessions will occur two to three times a year if a candidate tests.

Qualifications
  • Be a native speaker of the language or a certified teacher or college educator in the language.
  • Have basic computer skills, including keyboard and mouse proficiency.
  • Be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to maintain a confidential work environment.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States.
