Role Summary:

As a Vehicle Inspection Specialist at our Houston Vehicle Processing Center, you will play a crucial role in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles during the discharge process from vessels or rail. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in local safety and quality audits to uphold our Company Way of Working.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify any damages or manufacturing defects.
  • Conduct quality surveys across various departments, either collaboratively or independently.
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings and carry out health and safety audits throughout the facility.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate reporting of all quality and safety concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret written instructions and customer specifications, along with basic mathematical skills.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
  • Strong focus on tasks, capable of working independently and taking responsibility for assigned duties.
  • Physical capability to:
    • Work in confined spaces and endure varying weather conditions.
    • Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs.
    • Stand or walk for extended periods, with occasional bending, stooping, or climbing.
  • Proficient in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an automotive or warehousing environment.
