Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts. As a critical care transport specialist, you will play a vital role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as scene call work.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced emergency nurses to utilize their critical thinking skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with a professional team committed to high safety standards and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Critical Care Assessment: Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Patient Management: Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders.
  • Safety and Quality: Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.

Requirements

  • Experience: Three years' experience in emergency or critical care setting.
  • Flight Experience: Flight experience preferred.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area, EMT Certification in state(s), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000-$120,000 based on experience and location. Air Evac Lifeteam offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
