Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Trauma Recovery Center team at Henry Ford Health System. The successful candidate will provide trauma-informed assessment, psychotherapy, and case management services to survivors of trauma and violent crime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Services:
    • Conduct comprehensive clinical intakes for new clients using a trauma-informed approach and identify service needs when appropriate.
    • Provide short-term trauma-informed evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy, as needed crisis intervention, comprehensive case management, and multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare providers.
    • Visit patients at home and/or in the community for outreach and follow-up if they are unable to attend regularly scheduled in-office appointments.
    • Manage complex caseloads consisting of clients with histories of exposure to trauma, including acute and chronic physical and sexual abuse, interpersonal violence, and immigration trauma.
  • Supervision, Training, and Program Development:
    • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinical staff and trainees.
    • Develop and lead in-service trainings and case conferences on trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
    • Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement innovative models of care.
  • Record Keeping and Other Duties:
    • Maintain client records according to Michigan, City, County, and System requirements.
    • Record data in client charts according to JCAHO standards.
    • Meet program productivity standards and assist with data collection for program evaluation and research purposes.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program.
  • Pre-doctoral internship and Doctoral Program must have been APA accredited.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an ambulatory care setting, preferably with training/specialization in trauma-informed care.
  • Effective writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Research design and grant writing experience preferred.
  • Programmatic planning experience preferred.
