We are currently seeking a Senior Vehicle Mechanical Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering Practice in Farmington Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry and a strong background in mechanical engineering.

The successful candidate will work on research projects involving vehicle collisions, crash testing, and vehicle structures. They will be responsible for engineering analysis, researching crash testing, and managing vehicle crash litigation work. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be motivated to develop their own consulting practice, and have a fundamental interest and knowledge base in the automotive field.

You will be responsible for:

  • Engineering analysis
  • Researching crash testing
  • Researching vehicle structures
  • Managing vehicle crash litigation work
  • Hands-on automotive work
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Synthesizing work into presentations and reports for diverse audiences

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or a related field)
  • P.E. license or the willingness to obtain a P.E. license
  • A fundamental interest and knowledge base in the automotive field
  • Must be versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime and travel when required
  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information and present it to specialists and non-specialists alike
  • Clear written communication and technical writing skills are required
  • Must have a proven dedication to quality and accuracy
