Job Summary:
Cynet Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Travel Nurse RN to join our team. As a Pediatric Critical Care Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients across all age ranges and levels of acuity in a high-acuity unit.
- Manage cases such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery, trauma, hemato-oncology, and diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Work variable or straight night shifts with specific weekend and holiday requirements.
- Complete necessary modules prior to starting, which do not count as orientation hours.
- Participate in a 12-hour orientation program.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG.
- California License required.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Willingness to receive a flu shot when requested.
- Experience in caring for high-acuity pediatric patients.
- Willingness to float to other units outside the critical care units, including the Emergency Department.
Additional Information:
The traveler is expected to work two out of three major holidays during the contract period and can request a maximum of six days off, ensuring three shifts are covered per week. Preference is given to candidates with a background in PICU with experience in managing a minimum of 15 beds with higher acuity of care.
