As a Counselor I, your primary role will be to act as a constructive role model for youth in a therapeutic setting, providing a structured environment tailored to their behavioral, emotional, or developmental requirements. You will play a vital role in the development and execution of individualized treatment plans for residents, utilizing role modeling techniques to foster socially appropriate values, attitudes, and behaviors.
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. with a minimum of six months of experience in child care, OR an associate degree coupled with at least three months of relevant experience, OR a bachelor's degree in a Human Services discipline recognized by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
