Overview:

The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for enhancing athletic performance through tailored training programs. This role involves designing and implementing exercise regimens, monitoring athlete development, and making necessary adjustments to optimize results. The coach will work closely with head coaches to develop comprehensive training strategies that emphasize strength, conditioning, and overall fitness. Additionally, the coach will provide documentation, guidance, and support to athletes and staff while engaging in ongoing professional growth and educational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate athlete capabilities and areas for improvement through systematic observation and record-keeping.
  • Maintain precise records of athlete performance to assess training effectiveness and track progress.
  • Conduct baseline assessments for individual athletes to establish performance benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with coaches and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to athlete development.
  • Educate athletes and their families about effective exercise practices and routines.
  • Engage in student education and oversight during training sessions.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and clinics as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in diverse organizational settings and healthcare environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent software applications.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Personal Trainer or CSCS from accredited organizations.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • No prior supervisory experience is necessary.
