About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Newport Mental Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.

As a Medical Assistant, you will assist our licensed medical professionals with various tasks, including medication inventory control, administrative support, and documentation. You will also be responsible for attending required trainings and meetings as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Inventory Control: Ensure accurate and timely receipt, separation, and filing of customized pre-packaged medications at program delivery sites.
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-quality support with documentation of medication regimens and related duties as assigned by the Director of Community Support Program.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification is mandatory.
  • At least three years of experience in a medical assistant role.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent organization skills, superior computer skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. If you have prior experience with medication inventory, that's a definite plus

  • We offer an attractive salary ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
