Bench Pharmacist Job Description

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Bench Pharmacist to join our team in Montgomery, AL. This is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet/exceed site budgets.
  • Leverage operating policies, procedures, and processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Optimize cost management in line with script counts.
  • In coordination with the General Manager, serve as primary owner for Band III accounts, and facility owner for Band I and II accounts in assigned geography.
  • Drive organic growth and mitigate risk with existing customer relationships.
  • Negotiate and finalize customer contracts in collaboration with appropriate regional leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales to drive deal closures and organic growth.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Consultant Pharmacists, and appropriate corporate functions to meet overall site goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate the overall results of operations; regularly and systematically report the results to the GM and/or VPO.
  • Ensure that all organization activities and operations are executed in compliance with state and/or federal regulations and laws governing financial and pharmacy operations.
  • Ensure the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information and property.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Customer Pharmacy Services policy and procedure manual.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Omnicare Long Term Care Pharmacy/Home Infusion Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual and internal pharmacy policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Verifiable High School Diploma.
  • Valid Pharmacy License in AL.
  • Proficient in the area of clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evening, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Benefits:
