Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to all guests at Chinook Winds Casino Resort while expertly mixing and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Your role will encompass direct interactions with customers and collaboration with wait staff to ensure a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests.
  • Receive beverage orders from customers or serving staff in the lounge and gaming areas.
  • Provide a selection of wines and bottled or draft beers.
  • Craft cocktails and other drinks by mixing various ingredients such as spirits, sodas, and bitters.
  • Serve food items to patrons seated at the bar.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions and manage payments for drinks served.
  • Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchases.
  • Maintain, transport, and replenish inventory of beer, liquor, wine, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Guide customers through their experience from greeting to order delivery and payment processing.
  • Perform all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking duties at the end of your shift.
  • Monitor and manage product waste effectively.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures regarding alcohol service.
  • Set up and dismantle portable bar systems for special events.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services to assist guests.
  • Provide suggestions for improvements in service processes.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred. A minimum of two years of bartending experience or two years of internal barback experience is required.

Technical Skills

Licenses and Certifications

Must obtain a gaming license and necessary permits prior to employment commencement.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

Work Environment

Work will occur in a lively gaming setting with potential distractions, including moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to smoke.
