The Baylor Scott & White Health team is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Arrhythmia team. As a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider, you will actively render direct patient care and possess delegated prescriptive authority. You will work in a specialty clinic, providing medical care based upon the scope of practice as delineated by the supervising physician.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and mental conditions through comprehensive or problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatments and procedures, or perform indicated procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policies.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, standards of care, professional practice guidelines, and in partnership with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members when appropriate.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, management of health illnesses/conditions, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Maintain appropriate records detailing patients' treatment plans and outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits.
