Job Title: Commercial Loan Officer

**Job Summary:**

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for providing support, direction, credit information, and loan policies and procedures to ensure the overall quality of Prospect Bank's lending portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial lending practices and a ability to analyze financial information to support loan approval/denial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Financial Analysis:** Collect and analyze financial information to support loan approval/denial decisions.
  • **Credit Quality:** Pay particular attention to credit quality and ensure the bank stays within or under the quality standards set for Prospect Bank.
  • **Loan Management:** Responsible for overseeing and managing the correction of past due loans, monitoring of loan file exceptions outstanding, the collection of delinquent loans.
  • **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with applicable Bank regulations for all lending practices.
  • **Product Development:** Coordinate and develop loan products and programs consistent with Prospect Bank's goals and practices.
  • **Training and Development:** Assist in development and implementation of training, continuing professional development and benchmarking for lending services employees.
  • **Reporting:** Prepare monthly loan portfolio reports for the Board.
Qualifications:
  • **Education:** Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • **Skills:** Ability of critical thinking and problem-solving, good communication and presentation skills, knowledge of rate and risk structure of portfolio management, and experience with commercial, consumer, and mortgage lending.
