Your Role: As an Electronics Assembly Specialist, you will play a vital role in the production of AIRTRAC lasers by assembling electronic components and necessary subassemblies.

This position entails soldering, adhering to established procedures, and interpreting schematics and technical drawings. You will also be tasked with the construction, integration, and testing of custom cable harnesses.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to assemble, test, and calibrate electronic systems for laser applications.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying of both developmental and production electronic systems, either independently or under the guidance of an electrical or optical engineer.

Position Details: This is a full-time, non-exempt role based in our office.

Qualifications: We seek candidates with:

  • Experience with electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, current clamps, AC/DC power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Proficiency in producing professional documentation and thoroughly recording setups and testing outcomes.
  • An AA/AS in a Technical or Engineering field or a similar relevant discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly learn new skills in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A consistent work ethic.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Soldering experience, particularly J-STD-001 certification.
  • Strong fine motor skills for working on small assemblies under magnification.

Additional Information: U.S. citizenship is required for this position. Selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A background check and successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test are also required.
