The current project involves a significant light industrial development, including a warehouse/distribution center and food processing facility located in the Midwest.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Superintendent with a solid background in light industrial construction. This role is crucial for overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will manage all site activities and supervise field personnel, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries to ensure resource availability.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive project schedule as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor field personnel, promoting a positive and safe work culture.
  • Ensure all work complies with design specifications and quality standards through regular inspections.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the construction site and project management, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices, ensuring accurate billing.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes promptly and professionally.
  • Continuously assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Superintendent role within the construction sector.
  • Proven experience in light industrial construction, including manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Effective scheduling and coordination skills for subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software and technology.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
